YELLOW POINT
Just south of Nanaimo about 15 minutes you will find a pastoral blend of rolling hills and ocean views. Yellow Point is a small resort area facing DeCourcy, Ruxton, Pylades, Valdes and Thetis Islands. Unique to Yellow Point are its interesting sandstone rock outcroppings. The most spectacular feature of Yellow Point is its natural setting. Perched on the Point with 270 degree views of the ocean and the islands beyond you may enjoy seeing our indigenous deer or the playful river otter, bald eagles fishing for salmon, wild mink, great blue heron, seals and sea lions, quail or if you are exceptionally lucky, a pod of Orcas passing by.
The community offers a wide array of craft shops and cottage industries, with products ranging from stained glass to pottery, paper mache and linens.

NANAIMO
Nanaimo is among British Columbia's most livable cities, having a favorable balance of lifestyle, employment and investment opportunities for the marine and other sectors. The city has experienced rapid growth over the last decade, largely due to an influx of young working-aged families who have been attracted by comparatively low housing prices, a mild climate and exceptional scenery.
Strategically located on the east-coast of Vancouver Island, Nanaimo is the regional service centre for mid and North Vancouver Island. This growing community enjoys a skilled and educated labour force, an impressive infrastructure network and many nearby recreation and cultural amenities. Nanaimo's beautiful location, nestled between the ocean and the mountains, provides residents and visitors with a diverse range of recreational opportunities.
