All of them within 2 hours of your door. The Nanaimo Golf Club is an excellent course just 20 minutes from your door.

Locally, Cottonwood Golf Course is located amongst some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere. The course lies on a stretch of land 12 kms south of Nanaimo behind the city's airport. From here golfers are treated to panoramic views of the Coastal mountains and surrounding rural terrain. Just a few minutes from Yellow Point you could play a quick round of golf or just stop in to enjoy the atmosphere in the Cotton Club lounge and restaurant.

FISHING

Quennell Lake off Yellow Point Road is known for its good smallmouth bass and trout fishing, as is the nearby Holden Lake. Long Lake and Brannen Lake are situated 3 miles (5 km) north of the Nanaimo city centre. They're both easy to locate on opposite sides of Hwy 14. There are trout and smallmouth bass at Long Lake, and cutthroat and rainbow trout at Brannen Lake.

Take advantage of some of the best salt water fishing in the pacific Northwest. Reel in trophy salmon, cod snapper and halibut from the fresh cold waters of Stuart Channel and The Georgia Strait. Walk some of the bays and coves for oysters, clams and mussels or fill a trap with Dungeness crab and prawns. The seafood is delicious and abundant and not far away.

Nature at your door step. The natural beauty of Yellow Point will entice you to get outdoors and try new things. There are opportunities for biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, sailing, tennis and more.
